Product Description

This brass cored plug is a class 125 pipe fitting with a square head and male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for terminating and closing the end of a pipe. The plug is made of brass, which has excellent thermal conductivity and greater corrosion resistance than stainless steel. The plug is inserted into female pipe and has a square head for increased leverage. The class 125 fitting has male NPT threads for creating a tighter seal than straight threads. Class is a standard relating to tolerance, construction, dimension, and wall thickness, but it is not a direct measurement of maximum working pressure. This fitting meets standards ANSI/ASME B16.15, ASME B1.20.1, ASTM B584, and ALLOY C83600 for quality assurance. Depending on the application, plugs are available in different lengths, sizes, head shapes, pressure ratings and with male or female ends.
