This class 125 plug is a brass pipe fitting with a square head and male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads for terminating and closing the end of a female pipe. The solid plug inserts into the pipe it is closing and has a square head for increased leverage. It has NPT threads to create a tighter seal than straight threads. This class 125 fitting is made of brass, which has excellent thermal conductivity and greater corrosion resistance than stainless steel. Class is a standard relating to tolerance, construction, dimension, and wall thickness, but it is not a direct measurement of maximum working pressure. This fitting meets standards ANSI/ASME B16.15, ASME B1.20.1, ASTM B584, and ALLOY C83600 for quality assurance. Depending on the application, plugs are available in different lengths, sizes, head shapes, pressure ratings and with male or female ends.
