Schedule 40 PVC 45 ells are designed to turn the flow of a liquid at a 45 degree angle. If both ends of your pipe have smooth ends, you would use a 45 slip elbow. Both pipe ends are glued or cemented into the elbow, forming a 45 degree turn or joint. All of our Schedule 40 fittings are NSF rated 14 & 61, which means they are certified for use with potable (drinking) water. Maximum temperature is 140F.
