Product Description

This Dixon FM series straight nipple is used for connecting or extending pipes going in the same direction. It has male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on one end (for connecting to female threaded pipes) and is straight (for welding) on the other end for connecting different types of pipe. This fitting meets American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) A240 and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) SA240 specifications for quality assurance. Dixon recommends using stainless steel 308LSi wire for welding. This fitting is suitable for use in water, oil, and steam applications.Pipe fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries.
